My Dad lost his wallet the same way plowing and found it about 9 months later when cultivating. It had over $1300 in it and the bank was able to get enough info off the deterioated bills to replace all of his money. Very lucky in that as that was a lot of money back in the early 60s.

It was amazing how fast that thing got picked up. I lived off a 4lane hyway and was visiting a buddy about 1/2mile up the road. I pulled out of his driveway, across the crossover on the highway, drove to my driveway, thru the cross over and up to my house, about 700ft from the hiway. Got out of the truck, realized the jack, as well as a new battery, where missing. Jumped back in the truck, found the busted battery, but no signs of the jack. Probably took fifteen min from the time I lost it until I was back looking for it.

My dog (curled up on my feet now) will grab and bring me just about anything I point at and tell him to get. He know the difference between his foot balls (one squeaky one red latex and tennis balls) tell him to get the mommie (he LOVES that game he wont stop licking ears until she is starts squeaks too lol.) He was about 10 months old when my back went bad and had to have surgery. slept for 3 months on floor on air mattress with him curled up besides me. I would point and ask for pill bottles or remote and he would grab it bring it over and lay it in my hand... Pretty good Nurse for 10 month Lab Husky mix! Now I'm better he knows I can get stuff myself and will grumble when I ask for something close at hand... :D 8) He even seems to know difference between flat & Philips screw drivers.! Though he got a mouth full of grease once so now kind of looks tools over real close prior to grabbing one hahah

Never been a chewer, at about 4 months old he decided tags in the back of MOMMIES shirt shouldn't be there so he ate 2 of the tags (only the tags too?) We keep him pretty well spoiled and think he deserves it too.

Quite correct.
My uncle was a sign painter and his pet crow kept stealing his paint brushes. "Bill" would sneak away a brush and hide it under the eaves.
Once my uncle got it figured out and checked the eaves he found dozens of his missing brushes.
"Bill" was kept close to the pet dog consequently Bill learned to bark like the dog.
When visitors came they were greeted by barking at the door as well as Bill's swooping WOOFS.
Really funny.

Thieving old Mutt!:) I have heard of crows and magpies stealing stuff, mostly shiny things, but what on earth would make the doggie do that? Do you think he might have fell in with a "bad pack" when he was a pup?:) Or maybe he was just wanting to do a little remodeling on his doggie house?:D

when I was younger, my dogs were outside dogs. While working on my truck, wrenches would disappear frequently, to be found on the ground outside the shop. One day I caught one of the dogs quietly picking up a wrench and taking it out the door. She needed more attention. I never found all the missing tools.

My dog like my welding gloves. If I am welding and lay my gloves down for even a minute, the dog will sneak inside the shop and be gone with the gloves before i can turn around.I dont know how many times I have searched the shop to find where I laid my gloves only to find them later laying in the yard. Usually with the cuff chewed out of it. Funny thing is she always seems to go after the left glove and not the right one. I have a stack of right handed gloves on the welding table now without the matching left one
