Snow Lots of snow to move

KB,

Had the same snow in Kazoo, loved going out in the heated cab and blowing it out of the way. First couple of years I looked like frosty without the cab..... But I kept coming in and putting my cold hands on the real boss and she said "why don't you get a cab or something". I slammed the door on the way out top Steensma to order the cab before she could change her mind. Put the fun meter back in clearing 450 feet of drive way. Even do some neighbor's driveways now. They seem to always have a barley pop for me when I come around. Open air was fun when I first got it, but I had enough of the frozen face. Now I am all warm and grinnin......

Sounds like the old timers, don't need any heat in my car, that is for babies! Looks like most cars come standard with heat now! After last winter I had plenty of nature on my face ,loving the heated cab.

If we would have just wainted a couple of days the snow would have taken care of itself. Everyone is in such hurry these days.

Where are you at in Kzoo? I'm in Richland.

Today it's 19 degrees with 35 MPH winds. The snow is drifting to about 2'. I love it!!

You guys with cabs don't know what you are missing. In a world of heated and air-conditioned everything, it just feels good to bundle up and do a little battle with the elements. The sting of the wind driven snow on your face makes you feel alive! And a hot cup of coffee afterwords never tasted so good.

Especially when drinking it in front of the roaring fireplace.

KB,

In Oshtemo, right off of 4th street and ML. I suspect we had closer to probably 2.5 feet at one time. But it did go away in a hurry with the warm weather and high winds.

Looking forward to the next blast of snow......

OK I need to agree a cab is the only way. Today we had about 3 inches of new snow on top of the 2 feet, with blowing wind over night. Tractor started plugged in a -34 and wind chill of -48. By the time I got the road blown, plus the neighbors places my feet felt like a solid piece of ice. I don't think I could had more layers of clothes. The last half hour I was dreaming about a cab. What a ugly winter so far.

Yessir... this winter is shaping up to be a real froster!! Like to 'cause external hangin' digits to fall off!

Out cleanin' the last of the 12" we had right around Christmas from the parking spots next to the drive in minus 20F today. It's been below zero here everyday since the 26th and the last three mornings have been minus 30F.

The tractor DID NOT start after being plugged in for 4 hours until I put the battery charger on for 3 hours, too. Everything mmmmmooooovvvveeeedddd real ssssslllllooooowwww.

Would I like a CAB... nah, I think nude snow plowing is for REAL MEN!!

AK FISH: Please do not post any pics of the last post activites

Is every winter this extreme for you up there or is this out of the ordinary??

On the 110tlb could you rig up some sheets of clear plastic to the 4 post rops and use a small electric heater to keep somewhat warm??

Oh man I'm 48 years old and just realized I don't have any fight left in me after reading your post. Just last night I was out in my heated cab. Listening to the CD player, watching the snow coming out of the chute and thinking to myself "I'm glad I'm not out there".

Ah no matter what you like to do in life just make sure if your going to do it, you should enjoy it! :)

My plan worked like a charm also........ I sold my previous open tractor before the end of winter last year, then made my wife help me shovel snow for the last few snowstorms. No problem spending the extra money for a cabbed tractor after that !;)
