Loud bang noise on start and stop of New Bx2380

That's actually less shaking and quieter (start up and shut down) than the Kubota's in my Grasshoppers. One of them I've had for 12 years since new and it hasn't changed a bit.

The engine is bolted directly to the chassis.

Which one? There are hundreds of half inch forstner bit drilled holes on the floor. The floor is not tongue and grooved. Just joined on the sides and bisketed at the end grain sides. I did it this way on purpose. In Each hole and under a top grain plug (walnut and red oak) there are 3 inch torx screws driven into the subfloor. With 5/4 air dried red and some white oak, the floor is rock solid. I haven’t plugged all the holes yet. I guess that’s what your seeing. I just dry fitted bead board on the lower part of the walls. Once I cut all of them, I’ll remove and install a vapor barrier and finish the walls. Once all that and other things are done, the floor will be finalized.

Nice floor too. Did you say you plan to sand it, or are you leaving it rustic?

Ok now that makes sense. Thanks. I guess with the BX series tractors they put mounts on them on purpose for a smoother less bumpy ride when you throttle up? It definitely is smooth after starting..

haha - yeah - I know.. I looked closer at the pic and indeed one of the holes isn't plugged. BTW the wife's only task is to install the plugs. lol

My ZD mowers start and stop very similar to your video.
