Sorry to hear about that that has to suck. I don't know if it's too late but I have a cozy cab and it's built like a tank and bone dry. Maybe you could get curtis to take the cab back sounds like a longshot though. It's probably going to take some screaming dealers and customers to get quality to improve.

Maybe a littler of baby cabs?

That would be "cabettes". Seriously, if this company is now producing a hap -hazard product, something is wrong deep into management. That they simply make references to "caulk" is not promising for a plausible solution such as a "new" cab. This speaks volumes for whatever is going on with this company now. I feel badly for the op for his broken expectations. I would go through channels of first abiding by what the dealer can do with Curtis. 2. If that fails, I might consider trading this tractor in for a cabbed tractor from JD. 3. If that fails, I might consider trading this tractor in for a different color. If none of these things come to fruition or seem as a respectable alternative, you may have to bite the bullet and take the problem on yourself with your dealer of either a dismantling of the cab glass and getting proper fitment with new glass or larger seals. Might come out well enough to allow you to forget the original problem. Hope it eventually works out for you.

With all the manufacturers having their own Factory Cabs now a days, and Curtis having Crappy Service like this you have to wonder if their Days might be numbered??

none of this sounds atypical for an aftermarket cab. With all the factory options today, scabbing a cab onto a tractor is just not the best way forward.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I checked out aftermarket cabs back before I bought this tractor with a factory cab. The factory cab is awesome... Not even a comparison to an aftermarket one. I'm wondering why you'd order a new tractor with an aftermarket cab, especially when the cost savings between used & new are pregnant so close.

Unfortunately Deere doesn't offer a cab for anything smaller than the 3 series which was to large for what I needed, it is also 10 grand more than what I wanted to spend but that is now a looking as a possible option.

The last time I spoke to the dealer I told him if Curtis does not accept responsibility for the faulty cab I will not accept the tractor, I know it is not his or John Deeres fault but he recommended and installed the Curtis. Replacement with cozy is an option I will give him. I spoke to another dealer who recommended Cozy yesterday and rated them better, I called him to check on a tectight cab manufactured in Canada, they are highly rated but again will not have a cab for the 2032r until later in 2015.

Sounds reasonable. Not a "cab" in my mind if it can't even keep out rain.

From your original post, it sounds like you already DID accept the tractor. I think you said something about a 2 month old cab.

From a technical standpoint, you have a warranty on the cab, but you don't have a right of rescission on the tractor or cab. As a practical matter, it sounds like you have a good dealer that will take care of you. And I wouldn't blame you one bit for throwing a fit over it since the defect in the cab isn't something you could have discovered until it sat out in the rain. But I just wanted to be clear since some people here seem to think they can force the dealer to accept a return of a tractor or implement that's already been delivered, accepted and used.

Obviously, as your posted pictures speak for themselves... Your cab has a serious flaw in it's fit and finnish. I hope your dealer will stand by you, and reconsider his dealings with Curtis. Would there be any other option for your tractor? Perhaps a "soft" cab from some other manufacturer?...
One important factor to consider with any metal cab that is not insulated, is the condensation factor. Due to atmospheric difference, like barometric and humidity levels, the interior of any cab could and will get wet! Sooner or later, that will happen, no doubt.
Best of luck to you in resolving the matter. :)

Absolutely...that is very poor workmanship, I would make them replace it or full refund..no way I would pay good money for it.

Good luck, do not think because it is painted green you have to grab your ankles and take it...this is a new day..... keep on em, if you let them yah yah you for too long, you will be stuck with it.

This I know but it was never used just delivered and unfortunately accepted. It was delivered with 3 hours and now has 6, sat at the dealers for 3 weeks and now hasn't moved since it was returned. Dealer only returned it to me incase it snowed and he needed garage space. Like I said dealer has been not only fair but so far great to work with for the problem, and I do like the tractor. But at this point I would not recommend Curtis to anyone. We are expecting heavy rain tomorrow so I'm thinking of tapping it.
