Thanks for sharing your consumer experience with Curtis Cab. I hadn't realized they have a growing negative quality problem.

It's really too bad. I have a 20 year old Curtis soft-side that was made very well and has held up well. It's a different kettle of fish from a full cab, I know.
A shame if they're unable to keep up these days.

I have seen good fit and poor fit on the curtis "cabs". My biggest problem with all of the stack on cabs is I don't believe it is fair to call them cab's in this day and age. Imao, if it is not pressurized it is not a cab but an enclosure. I am not surprised that Curtis is working with the dealer, in my experience they are one of the better aftermarket companies for enlosures, etc, for the price.

I am guessing that your JD dealership is DH marvin, who is mine as well. Wonderful dealership, wonderful people, can't say enough good things about them.
No Midstate tractor. Good guy working real hard to get it right.
New cab did not arrive so I took more pictures this morning after rain, here are a few. Not happy yet.

any update on this? I'm looking at a Curtis cab now.

The dealer took it apart and re sealed the Windows and doors it is better but still some leaks in heavy rain. Dealer did all he could can't fault him, as I was told Curtis was very difficult for the dealer. Unfortunately when tractor was ready winter was fast approaching and I know I should have just refused it after the leaks but needed it for snow and would have been up the creek as they say. I have to say if I were to do it over again I would still get the John Deere have a great dealer, but would look for another option for the cab. As a side note it is not noise insulated and very loud inside, poor rear and side visibility if you are work in a tight place. I have a 2032 R not sure how the Curtis cabs for other tractors are. I had a Curtis on an old JD 855 that was great, more room, good visibility and no leaks that is why I went with Curtis in the first place.

I've been reading this thread since it first came out and keep wondering what went wrong at Curtis Cab. They used to be regarded as the Cadillac of cabs and a guy would be lucky to own one.

This thread pops up in Google for me often that's why I ask. I'm thinking I could just save the money and get the soft cab from jd. Use the 12v and run a wire up the corner to the top back for a small fan pointed at the window. I'm afraid the fogging will be bad.

if you don't have tractor now I would suggest a factory cab, mine mine was 5500 more than open station. heat, air, stereo, etc. The factory cabs are a bargain.

I would have been happy to get a factory cab but Deere doesn't make one for the 2032, or they didn't when I purchased mine.
