I bought a bush hog, finish mower and box blade for my Yanmar. I don't know which hole to hook them up to on the lower arms (both vertical and horizontal arms ) of my 3pt hitch and I need to get it set before I cut my shafts to length. So, where should I put them and what difference will it make as far as the mowers are concerned?
thanks, brett w
this is a repost from the Attachments section, hoping Yanmar owners will know what I'm talking about. bw

The holes in the lower lift arm control the height of the lift arms to the ground. ( Slight difference only.. really... though makes a difference when hooking some implements up.. and also to max height and to a smaller degree.. angle of the implement whin lifted to the max height will be slightly different between the three holes ( different heights ) ) One link-lift arm is adjustable.. the other is static and only adjusted by those holes. Pick a setting that works good for you.. then use it. I left min in the middle.

Mines a greymark, and i think i only have two holes to adjust w/. I have noticed that the holes closer to the axles tend to let you drop lower, and the ones farther out let you raise higher. we're not talkin a whole lot, mind you.if you're lookin for the max adjustability, just order another link assembly that has the adjustable crank.

I don't know what size tractor you have but i've got a 1900 and I use the lower holes just because it's easyer to hook up everything. Also you may already know this but if your tractor doesn't have a "live" pto you will need an overrun clutch for your pto shaft. If you don't have one your brush hog will keep pushing you after you push your clutch in.
the reason i'm telling you this if you hook up your brush hog, cut your pto shaft to fit then find you need an overrun clutch you will have to cut your shaft again. Hopes this helps.
