Gang, a friend of mine has this Yanmar tiller and I'm working on. The goal is to get it back to a "usable" state and I can see that it has a leaking seal on the gearbox drive end. Also, the previous owner tried to create a 3pt a-frame but this was clearly their first fabrication job.
How can I tell what model tiller this is to I can confirm the correct parts? I believe it is a RS1400 with a 57" working width.
Needs:
(1) tine shaft seals on both ends
(2) a few gearbox bolts barely have a head on them, might find those at my hardware store
(3) body shields are pretty rough with lots of pin-holes, might try lightly welding these or reskinning with tin.
I also need to fab up a new 3pt frame that'll work with my quick hitch. The current pins are only 21 5/8" apart where my Cat1 quick hitch is 26". If anyone has already done that, would love to see some examples.
