Buying Advice Lower hours, but questionable maintenenace... Purchase?

at 20 hrs.. it's probably just now due for maint.

hows the rest of the machine look? condition is a better indicator than hours..

I'm guessing you meant 200 hours (since that's what we were all discussing above).

Anyway, bummer for me: Upon reflection, I'd realized this was quite a good deal for our area, especially with the low hours, and every one of the implements was one I could use. I called, left a message telling him I'd like to come by. Within an hour, he'd called back to tell me he sold it the night before.

My experience has shown me that truly good deals here usually are bought within 24 hours, 48 hours at the outside (This one was bought at the 48-hr mark.) . It has also shown me that they show up two or three times a year.

I guess I'm back to hunting and waiting.

yep.. meant 200.. and yep.. that's usually what happens to good deals.

I have pulled over and left deposits to ensure I could get deals sometimes.. even if I couldn't haul home right then..

another will come along.

be patient and keep looking!
