Was at lowes a week or so ago and noticed that they are now selling 3pt attachments. They have 5 ft items. I noticed boxblades, rakes, scraper blades and bushhog. I did not look close at them but i think they said Carter on them for the brand as i drove by. I saw a price on the BH it was $804 i think. They also had farm gates, i dont think they have always had these for sale, may be wrong though?

What about you lowes?

EDIT: This was at Lowes in Greenwood, SC

Looks to be location specific. There are no 3pt attachments at Lowe's here. (There is a Tractor Supply Company in town.)

We have a TSC as well. Its a quarter mile from lowes.

We have a tractor supply warehouse coming in about 15 minutes down the road from me.

I'd never get a 3pt BH unless it was for a very small tractor and being specifically used in place of hand digging. Otherwise too easy to tear it up, tear up the 3pt, or wreck the tractor.

That seems like it would be a good place to sell their stuff! To catch all the folks with sticker shock walking out after pricing a small land pride or whatever it is they sell bushhog. Lowes would be half the price and after all how is your 25hp CUT gonna wreck a bushhog unless your an idiot which they can wreck an anvil.

The would get all the folks who look at both and want the cheaper price.

We have a Tractor Supply right across the road from Lowe's. They do both sell the same little utility trailers, but I haven't noticed any tractor attachments at Lowe's.

By BH he meant Brush Hog not backhoe.

Nothing here in central TN either. Maybe it is a regional or district thing to test the market before going "Whole Hog" in all stores.

Our Lowe's does not have any farm equipment. I wonder if the equipment could be Tarter rather than Carter? They manufacture a lot of the TSC equipment. They also sell some equipment with their brand. I know that Everything Attachments has some Tarter equipment. I think it is branded as County Line.

I was thinking about Tarter my self. But im 99% sure there was a big "C" on them. They were painted Grey with black lettering i beleive.

I would differ with you in that a knowledgeable operator would not tear it up. I have had a 3-pt BH for 15+ years, have done some very major work with it and have not broken anything other than a bucket tooth. If you don't abuse the machine but know how to maximize its productivity there is nothing to fear. But, then, I've been operating these things for 45+ years, though not professionally. I have, though, demonstrated proper techniques for a manufacturer, but then, that was my job at the time.:D

I think I posted in another thread about a year ago or longer that the Lowes in Decatur, TX has implements. It seems to me that they appeared to be about the same price as TSC, but the one's at Lowes were not a known brand and they have no direct parts support like TSC does. I think very few people would buy from Lowes when they can go down or across the road and by from TSC knowing that they can return the implement to the store or get spare parts through them at any TSC store nationwide.

A week ago, I was in Lowes here and noticed that they had move the 3PH implements over to an area beyond the building materials loading dock. Before they were between the two main doors. I think Lowes decided that prime space in front of the store would better serve them for selling lawn furniture, plants, and barbecue grills. I expect to see the 3PH implements on sale before long at fire sale prices. IMHO, it was a losing proposition to begin with. They gave it a fair shake, but it didn't work.

My Lowes had them down toward the Lumber/ building supply side, just beside the outside treated wood and fence display. Then they moved them down between the garden plant side and the left side door? I was thinking aobut when the get fire saled looking at them but untill them not even second looked at um.

All of the Tarter equipment that I have is yellow. 3pt. hitch trailer mover, and a field fence unroller/stretcher. What TSC carries is also yellow.
