Just a not parts should be here tomorow.
The bearing was I think actually broken after the loss of fluid and then driving it back to the shed.
When I was talking about moving the tractor around with the backhoe: I was really putting not only the weight of the tractor high into the air, but also using the hydralics to push the tractor forward or back. Sometimes in mud and against tree parts etc..
I promise to change the oil and be nicer to my tractor!
