The fact is Montana has not purchased tractors from LS in over 1 year. LS will stand behind all tractors sold in this country with parts support. There is more to come folks. More is coming out. Read the writing on the wall, its right there! These are facts from a very reliable source.

How is this for evidence:

LS Tractor USA

Since Montana is partnering up with Branson/Kukje to make their tractors, LS no longer has US distribution for their products, so they're coming in on their own. How do I know? They popped in the other day and wanted me to pick up the line. They're coming in and honoring Farmtrac warranties and taking care of Farmtrac dealers (helping them finance existing inventory), which I personally think is pretty classy.

Priced pretty well, and the 5 year warranty is cool too. An industry first (other than TYM)?

We all knew LS was coming direct so this link doesn't tell us anything new other than the 5yr warranty. Last I heard was they didn't even have wholesale financing. It does look like they have Agricredit for retail financing.

LS still has McCormick, for now. Montana carried more LS products than Farmtrac or McCormick so yes, they are losing a large distributor if Montana doesn't continue to carry their products.

As for honoring the warranties... that is just the right thing to do. So the distributor went away...big whoop. The manufacturer should honor the warranty regardless. just my $.02

I say, beans for LS for stepping up on the warranty and beans for Montana for merging with Kukje. This looks like a win/win for both companies.

They're floorplanning with GE with decent terms, and have 0% for 60 months and 3.9% for 72 months retail financing on most everything (though there is a nice cash discount cause 0% financing is so expensive).

HOGwild as far as I am concerned LS is the one being a *** about this ,they are mad because Montana ended up with the NC plant and its assets , they did not buy the stock in the contry ,that already belonged to textron on their floor plan so Montana had no conection to those dealers or tractors they baught a escort tractor with some parts and then secured a ten year agrement for parts from escort , so now LS (loosing face and millions)is putting the squize on montana by slow parts ship and upping there tractor price on the new modles and becides it will be very hard to sell aginst the factory selling tractors .I think with LS and Montana not talking Montana will drop LS and merge with KUKJI ?????---------dave

my dealer told me today that ls will still provide some models from ls since kukje has a limited model line up at this time. he expected kukje and montana to work together and increase to line up.

LS has hired Salesmen and are signing up Montana dealers to buy LS tractors direct. Their floorplan is with GE. They have a distribution point somewhere in the Carolinas, and are supposed to have a assembly point some where in California in the future.
