LS MT 2XXX Models with LB1300 Backhoe have swivel seat problems?

Any one with the MT 2XXX models with LB1300 Backhoe have swivel seat problems?

This is the 2nd time the X bars broke on me. The first time I was moving wood with the grapple and the seat shifted right and would not lock down.

On Thursday I was using the Backhoe and the seat tilted forward & to the left & I had a hell of a time to get it up and rotate it so I could drive it out of the wood & back home. Now all you can see is the sky when you drive it.

Dealer said it should take about a week to get the new seat frame assemble. Can't use the tractor at all the way it is.

No I am not over weight for the seat!

That's quite frustrating, and the reason I can't stand swivel seats.

It took 13 days and the new frame the bars look bigger then the last ones.

You can't weld some reinforcing rods on
the original seat? It could be a spare???

I have had a similar problem...I'm on seat #3. This time I re-welded the underside more thoroughly...it has been holding since. Unfortunately, I have to yank the seat up manually when using the backhoe...I'm waiting on a new design from LS but they are not much help on a more permanent solution.

Mine broke, too. Much more through weld on the replacement. Took 5 months to get it...

I love the tractor but the Customer Service is incredibly bad.

Pull it off take it to a welder and weld up the broken welds at the pivot points at least you'll be able to use it without feeling like you're going to fly off the tractor on any kind of an incline

Actually, I have welded it myself and it is holding up but LS is supposed to give me the redesigned one. Although I've welded the seat up pretty good I still need the piston that assists in raising the seat up...that broke as well.

When you get it, it'll be unassembled. Getting that shock in there is a bugger to say the least.

My seat rocks side to side, the X bars should lock in the front when it is not in the backhoe position. Love the tractor, hate the seat assembly!

Did the welds on the X bars break? I'm told there is a redesign which beefs up the welds on the MT225s. I've been waiting for my replacement to arrive. LS dealer claims it needs to arrive from South Korea. Customer service, in my experience, has been poor at best. Good Luck!

It has been over 7 months now and the new frame has been holding up and working great I think they fixed there problem.
