LS MT125

Don't know if your too far NW, but call Bruno's Powersports, check them on the Internet. They say they will deliver anywhere, and have MT125's with loader, backhoe, and MMM fo $17,195, and loader / mower for $14,306. Worth looking into.

Our local dealer has one with the loader, backhoe and mmm for $17,500 so $15,200 with the loader only is rather high. The RK24 is $13,199 with the loader and the LS should be competitive with that. The MT125 seems like a lot of machine for the money. It just isn't quite as much tractor as I'm looking for.

There is a trade off with size and maneuverability. A subcompact would work best for me. I only have 2.6 acres. If I had 5-20 acres I might be looking at a different machine. The LS will work perfectly from what I see people doing with it. Also, 25hp in a small tractor gives a nice weight to power ratio. The next size up tractor is several thousands more. For me it didn't make sense although my macho man in me wanted a much larger tractor. Good luck in whatever you choose.

That makes no sense. Mine came with an MMM. Since I got it late last year, I've only used it a few times, but it has worked fine so far. That dealer may be a bit high too (price wise :) ). Mine came in at a little over $18K with a BH, 48" tiller and Subsoiler/Middle Buster.

We've seen a few examples of pricing on the far west coast being higher than the east though.

I should have pressed more about his concerns around the mmm. Like most things... Could just be one salesman's bias. I wish the price was inline with everybody else. I would probably have one in the shop today.

People here on this forum told me I was nuts for wanting an MMM instead of a trailing mower, but I need it for the tighter turning radius. They also told me I would have problems scalping and a host of other issues, but my 'lawn' is a mixture of various green things, not a golf course or show lawn. I just want to keep it less that a foot tall, not get it on a magazine cover.

Interesting how prices are all over the place. Back when I was shopping two summers ago, after checking with A LOT of dealers (lots of competition in the central Ohio area..), JD, KB, & LS were within $600 of each other. At that price difference, it became an easy decision for me. However, if someone were facing several thousand dollars difference, I think the LS could be a viable choice. The biggest difference in the machines I looked at were detailed design and F&F issues. I thought all the machines were robust & well suited for SCUT-type work, and would have been OK with any of them, relevant to price.

Good luck in your search!

I'm on 12 acres and do some truck farming which is why I want something a little bigger. On a smaller acreage the subcompact would be perfect. Even on larger acreages a subcompact could be the right choice depending on what work is to be done. If you only mow 3 acres out of 15 it will not tax a subcompact at all. Those tractors offer quite a bit of utility in a small package.

Yes. I agree. I have a guy who cuts my lawn now and he is reasonable so I may just let him do it for the first year until I get caught up with my other projects. Not sure if the deck mower would get in the way since it takes a lot of ground clearance from the machine. I was hesitant to get one. I was thinking of a pull behind but then I have to take off the backhoe each time I use it.

^^ I leave mine off most of the time because of the extra weight, but I can use the MMM with it on. That's something not all SCUTs can do.

With Deere and Kubota within $600 why did you choose LS?

I didn't. If you look to the left at my profile you will see I chose the KB.
