I roll 4' diameter x 5' long hay rolls. Yesterday I was moving hay from the field to be stacked in rows, butt to butt, hay spikes on front and rear. This is my first hydro "tractor". I have "shuttle shift" in a larger tractor so I have now used 4 types of shifters on tractors considering regular geared non synchromesh (Fords 8 speed) and synchromesh.
Without a doubt, the small tractor with short turning radius and good operator visibility to the rear (sitting partially turned around in the seat looking back) and most of all a pair of pedals to instantly change direction, with hydro steering, is a DREAM....hands down!
