Again, just my opinion, but at 1600 rpm of just driving around on flat ground carrying firewood, you're not working the engine much, and the exhaust/turbo shouldn't be all that hot to begin with. In such cases I tend to idle for just 10-20 seconds and then shut down, no harm at all in that approach. Granted, my Kioti is not turbocharged, so it's less relevant for me.Deezler, I normally run 1600-1700 when going firewood. Actually never operate less unless getting off and on changing an implement, moving something or wrapping a chain around something.
Still think I do not need to idle before shutting down?
