I'm just getting familiar with the LS line. How long have these been in production as an LS branded tractor. I understand they make many in the New Holland line up. My big question though related to emissions. In particular the DPF. Is there a model which they made without the DPF on it? I didn't know if their manufacturing timeline went back that far or not since I can only seem to find 2015 and 2016 model tractors.

LS goes back to 1975 and have built many tractors for various companies. They started selling tractors under their own LS name in 2009. I don't know what year they started using DPF but think it was around 2012-2013. Prior models were tier IV interim engines. They have been built with Mitsubishi, Shibaura, and now LS brand engines.

My G3018 is a 2014 with no DPF. I specifically wanted it over the 2015 which I was told had the DPF.

The company seems to be very pro active in their design and research! I would say that shows as they went to their own tier4 engine which I am speculating they built because they were unhappy with the previous line ups! The good thing as many stated that with LS you can keep working and let the regen run in the background!
I honestly let the emissions system be the last thing that determined my purchase!

I don't think it was they where unhappy they went to a license to built to control cost and timing. They have done this before tier 4 came to being. They where licensed to build the Mitsubishi tier 3.
