LS vs Kubota vs Bobcat hydro "smoothness"

So would you guys say that you don't have any "surging" issues? I'm going to the dealerships tomorrow to look at tractors. One of the annoyances with my tractor is that when I'm taking off I usually have to slip the clutch quite a bit to take off smoothly, and then if the RPMs are high I'll still get a bit of a lurch up to speed. This is one of the reasons I want to get a HST -- I want to go very smoothly from full stop to traveling without any lurches or jumps.

0 ISSUES, They are just as you describe, full forward to full reverse in the time it would take to clutch and find the right gear. CJ

My Bobcat HST experience is the same as Canada_CT230's.

It only took a few minutes of practice to not lead foot it. Now I can creep up on just about anything as fast or as slow as I want.

James, I think now IS the time, you are right. The question is which tractor, but I am ready for HST and 4x4. Hey, I see you updated your signature. Did you get your new tractor yet??

No. delayed.. the sig is just wishful thinking..waiting on the canopy to come in.

Still have my L3400HST.. now would be a good time to come over and drive it like a rented mule

Well, the perceived abruptness of the LS 4041 hydro wasn't enough to dissuade me from pulling the trigger. I put in an order for a 4047H (took you folks general advice to go one size bigger) and will of course be posting pics and giving my opinion of it for what that's worth when I get some seat time.
