Dealer said that LS told them originally there was an issue with some EGR valves getting paint on them and they shouldn't have been painted but that issue was supposed to be resolved. Not sure if I just got a bad one out of a batch or if it might have gotten missed on the original pull from the painted valves.

So I am now about two weeks out from putting in my new EGR valve. I spoke with my dealer he said if I wanted to do it myself he would send me a manual for me doing the labor(WIN). Took me about 35mins start to finish and was pretty easy.

I thought the tractor was powerful before I swapped the EGR valve and just had problems going uphill(last tractor was an 8N)...... This thing is a beast now with a working EGR valve!!! I can now uphill in high gear without slowing down... Love it!

Glad it was an easy fix and hopefully not too many people run in to this issue.

Glad you got it all sorted and have plenty new found power! Haven't had the issue yet with mine but good to know it's an easy fix.

I would take a look and see if your EGR valve is painted. If it is it could eventually suffer the same fate and I would push to get it replaced.

Ok so I have the same tractor and same issue of power and speed loss in high gear traveling up hill the RPM's drop way down. With your new EGR does your tractor maintain RPM's when traveling up hill from mild to steep slopes? Thanks

Unless the slope is super super steep and I'm in third gear then yep I can do it with no problems even with the pto active. :)

Good to know, I will check it out. And thanks for the heads up!
