Price Check LS XU5065CPS and LS P7010C

Guys just an FYI when thinking of pricing and such on tractors. First I will mention that I am a dealer and not one of the dealer any of you have spoke with, but while dealer costs from LS are a constant (one dealer does not pay less or more than another) the cost of doing business in certain stated is different. For instance hear in Oklahoma cost of doing business is much lower then say Illinois, therefor I can sell the same tractor bit cheaper then a dealer there can. We have out of state dealers coming to the farm auctions here and buying tractor at prices we feel are above what our retail market will bear. These dealers then take these used tractors up north and sell them for thousands more then I could here in Ok. So just remember price is relative to you state. God Bless.

Wow... would jump on that like a cat on a cricket if shipping isn't too high.

I was quoted today... Ready... $31459 for a XU5065CPS with loader, R1 tires, loaded out. Free 160+ mile delivery and full tank of fuel. Same state.

Local dealer will get opportunity to match. He is 4 miles away. Just match price and fill up tank. I'll drive it home! If not, other guy gets sale and the local guy will get warranty work.

$6000 difference... Would you be loyal local if both dealers are both in same state. Its even cheaper than buying out of state and not paying 7.5% tax!

Makes one wonder. If all dealers get the same price, per "cwrighttractors". And all dealers called get the tractors from the same distributor. Price spread on a XU5065CPS is 31459 to 37500 without negotiations, what does the dealer pay?????

$31459 dealer. Agri Credit. 10% down (can pay more), $100 loan fee, $30 paperwork fee, 5.75% (compeditive to banks), no early pay off penalties, $18/mo insurance. No smoke, no mirrors. Sounds legit.

They all are making profit... I understand there is overhead. Lowest price, small outfit. Highest price, local large dealer, multi brands. Just saying, what does the dealer pay? I want the dealer to pay their bills and make a profit. I also want the best deal without bending over the counter for it.

Guys, do your homework before buying.

Forgot. P7010C w/loader was 33k-34k. I forget, don't have the exact numbers in front of me. I can provide them when I'm around the PC I have the spreadsheet on. Not interested anymore on the P7010C. I feel the XU506CPS fits my needs better. PM me if you want dealer info.

Flip it around, what is the dealer willing to MAKE off the sale? Sometimes they make no profit or go back of cost to earn volume spiffs, take care of loyal customer who already made them $$, est. themselves in new markets, avoid paying interest on older stock, liquidate inventory when going out of business, etc. Whatever way that pricing was reached -- and it may be a combination -- probably will not pay light bill but will make one very satisfied customer who can now buy a barn full of implements with the "savings" (that story won't fool the Mrs I've discovered.) Awesome deal -- congrats! I can tell you are excited.

A dealer quoted me numbers like that on an OPEN station XU5065, so hopefully it wasn't junior had his finger on the wrong page and was so excited to sell his first tractor that he didn't notice. You think dealers got used to quoting ~$37.5 on the XU5065CPS, and when LS started throwing in loaders (not sure if that is new BTW, or just new news), they've kept quoting the same price and pocketing the higher profit margins, maybe throwing in a rotary cutter to make it a "deal"? The way I figure is advertising at $35k and selling at $34-ish or with $1k in freebies they could stay in business (and make it up in market share, parts, etc.) because they'd steal so many more deals from Kioti, Mahindra, and esp. the bigger brands assuming $32k is at or near cost with current incentives.

Blessed,

This dealer picked up LS in 2009. Sold 289 tractors to date. He quoted the correct machine. I asked for a price and he had to call to get current pricing. Five minutes later, he gave me the price. The XU5065CPS quoted is brand new, from distributor shipped straight to me. Brand new 2014, 0 hour machine. No shipping charge and full tank of push water.

I assume dealer cost cannot be more than $28000-$29000, maybe even $25000-$26000. Heck, as aggressive as LS is establishing dominance in the market it could be less! Lots of mark up on all brands. Seems some dealers are content making 8%-10%, some want 20%-30% or more!

This has been an education for sure.

Lots of education indeed, and good info all around on TBN! Again, congrats on finding the right tractor and the lowest price I've ever seen quoted on this model -- incl. mine.

Always figured that LS margins are commensurate with their lower-than-JD/Kubota/MF/Case pricing points, maybe in the 15% range incl. incentives. So if really 20-30%, can see why adding LS lineup to an existing MF, Deere, etc. dealer would be attractive... that, and I'm in the wrong business!

Blessed. Just playing with numbers...

$37500 - 25% = $28313 (highest dealer)
$31459 - 10% = $28125 (lowest dealer)
Delta of $188 (pretty dang close!)

$37500 - 30% = $26250 (highest dealer)
$31459 - 17% = $26109 (lowest dealer)
Delta of $141 (horseshoes and handgrenades)

Unless the markup is over 25%, I'd say the dealer price is around $28k. If its closer to 30%, $26K. The reason I believe it to be AT LEAST 25%, the lowest quote has to make profit after free delivery and full tank of fuel! I want to be an LS dealer!

Again, just playing with numbers. Engineers are known to do that!

I'd be shocked if the dealer markup on LS or any tractor brand was 25% or more.
