Sulfur is bad for the environment but not necessarily for your engine. As long as you change the oil as required, it should not be an issue with either LSD or ULSD fuel. All new engines are designed to run on ULSD so in your case, use what ever you want.I have seen that article. If you notice NH is not mentioned since NH has not decided to switch over to ULS heating oil (Live Free or Die)I confirmed it with my oil supplier. If the consensus is sulphur is bad than I will not use it.
If you want to save $3 per hundred and put a little more pollution in the air, that is your business. Your tractor for sure wont be producing as much pollution as a home heating unit simply because of less fuel burned.
