Lubricating

I will second what TXDon has said about the cordless grease gun. It makes lubricating your tractor almost fun.

I have a question about frequency of lubricating. The loaders on the Grand L's say lubricate every 10 hours. Is that tractor clock hours or hours of loader use? I can go 10 hours and not use the loader except to lift it off the ground. Does that count as hours of use? I find I am averaging lubrication about every 15 hrs on the tractor clock.

Should the frequency of lubrication depend on how heavily the loader is used/loaded?

I must have too much time to think but what else can you do when mowing. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I would say that is actual hours of loader use.

I grease every zerk on my L3710 on 10 hour increments. If I haven't been using the loader, I'll only give each fitting a couple of pumps. If I'm at home I'll use the air powered grease gun, well worth the $25.
