LX3310 vs L3301

I sold my New Holland last week and now looking at a new tractor. I can't go up in size too much because of getting in and cleaning the barns out. Will be using it for general tractor work, bush hogging, and cleaning barns. Just bought a new zero turn to take over the daily mowing activities.

I think I've narrowed it down to 2 choices. One is the LX3310 - dealer has it still sitting in the crate - just came in Friday. He has R14 tires for it. Then I'm looking at a L3301. He has a couple, but they've been there for a bit, I would give it a score of 9 out of 10. But he does not have the R14 tires and doesn't have a set of used tires for me to use until he can get them. Unfortunately, I can't wait until September for the tractor. The barn will need cleaned and the goats will need hay before then.

Other than 2 HP and 800 pounds, the LX is equal to or "out-specs" the L.

I was originally leaning toward the LX - worried about size in the barn. My wife didn't think it seem too big, so she said, why not get the bigger. So I told the dealer to go ahead with the L, but I'm kind of second guessing myself and wondering if I should go with the LX. Also the LX is a new design vs. the L seems to be a bit "older" - which can be good or bad.

Also just got rid of a New Holland and bought an LX2610. Looked at the L2601 also. Since I wanted it more for farmers market garden and mowing and a little less footprint and better maneuverability for me the LX was better. The LX 2610 is almost a 100% relabeled B2650 so nothing new. The LX3310 got a newly redesigned engine to correct emissions related issues with large B 30hp. The loader on the L is much more substantial than the LX.

Looks beefier, but "Spec'd" is only 15 pounds more. And I wonder if the L is conservative rated and the LX is going after the "number" chasers.

Yes the L loader is so much more metal and wider it's got to hold up better and a larger safety factor with heavy loads. I also have a L4330 with loader to handle the big stuff. Just bought 290# forks that can handle 3500# and can use on both.

Forgot to mention the tilt steering on the LX. Both of us are older and the tilt steering and nearly flat center hump make getting on an off easier and safer than the small Ls. This alone convinced my wife. So far 25 hours and two thumbs up. Handles 60 inch finish mower, 50 inch tiller, 4 and 5 foot rotary cutters well.

The LX is one of Kubota's "deluxe" models and is equipped with features not found on the L3301. PTO HP of the LX is actually a bit more than that of the 3301 but will seem considerably more because the engine is hauling around 800 Lbs. less weight.

The LX3310 replaces the B3350. The engine is the same aside from the fuel and emissions systems. Aside from a couple of improvements/modifications, the 3310 is not a new design.

Depends upon your uses and preferences.

Engine displacement on LX3301 is 91.5 cu inches, 30.8 gross hp @ 2,500 rpm.
Engine displacement on L3301 is 111.4 cu inches, 33.0 gross hp @ 2,700 rpm
Not much difference between the two, though I personally slightly favor Kubota 3-cylinder diesel engines over small displacement four cylinders. I have owned both.

New Kubota tractors ship from Kubota manufacturing and assembly plants in Georgia, hard hit by Covid-19. Kubota plants were all shut down for awhile, now operating below capacity.

Corona virus is spreading rapidly in Georgia. No dealer can forecast supply/delivery of new tractors at this time. Supply of new tractors liable to get worse before it gets better. All brands, not just Kubota.

Wheels and tires are provided to Kubota by Titan International, further complicating supply. Wheels and tires are almost the only parts Kubota does not supply from Kubota plants.
