And you would have a "parts tractor" in case you need any other pieces. Sounds like a winner to me.

Well I found another 6950 tractor that the 4wd has some issues. The tractor runs good. The guy wants a $1,000 for it. It looks like I could take the 2 tractors and make one good one. I would think that this would be a good deal for around $1,400 total on the investment.

Now you're talking. The M6950 is a great tractor that shares many common parts with other models so you should be good to go for years. In fact if you were closer you could buy my front-end weight bracket and weights for it. I actually think I have a parts manual for an M6950 as well.

I've got a late 80's M-7950 (cab w/heat and air) that is a reliable, durable, economical, tough, tough, tractor. There are times I get to looking at that newer orange paint at the dealership but I can't justify spending the money just for the shiny paint.

Since your project tractor is from the same series, and you can piece 2 together and have spare parts and still be in it for less than 2 grand, you absolutely can not go wrong.

If anything you could probaly sell the running one for 2 or 3 times what you have in it after you do the swap and still sell the donor tractor for the cost of the original one.

If it were me I'd rebuild it using that donor you found...

Well I finally got a chance to drive the second tractor that we picked up for $1,000. It even came with a front loader as well. WOW what an awesome machine. This is the first Kabota that I've been around. This thing starts and runs great. It turns out that the 4wd problem it has should be simple to fix. There is a crack in a casting up by the drivers side wheel. The 4wd drive works fine. Just need to go to the donar tractor and swap this part out. I have a few questions. I would like to add another valve to run the loader so I can use the rear remotes. I'm sure that there is a power beyond port somewhere. Also is there any place on line that I could go to get a wiring diagram? Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Andy

Well I finally got some pictures of the tractor that runs. I also took a picture of the problem with the front end as well. I'm looking for a shop manual for this tractor. Does anyone know where is a good place to get one.

I have a running 6950. Have you got yours running? If so I would like to ask if you have an extra front grill from either of the two units that you would sell. Mine is damaged. Thanks for your effort!
