Sometimes I blow right by the easy stuff in diagnosing a problem. If you keep your box blade on, and you always lift it all the way up with the 3-point hitch, try backing the lever off just a bit from the top - if the engine unloads a bit, that's the end of that one, the position range is just a little off - many tractors are like that forever - no issue.
Maybe we're getting down to the drips at the control valve?
