Z- Now that you understand it, when are you going to buy it?:D

After reading "IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL NEW M SERIES OWNERS" in the Kubota owning/operating forum, it might be never. That's not reassuring, and I hadn't seen it til today.

I probably will wait to decide until a local dealer gets an M5040 ROPS in so I can see and test exactly what I would be buying instead of extrapolating from the cab model. I was told he had one on order so hopefully within a few weeks. Even then, though, not sure if M5040 will be it. Might take a look at M4800, especially if price is significantly less, and the JD5105 is somewhat surprisingly on my list.

As a note all the brands have some trouble ****ting ranges at some point. The Kiotis and others you often have to lift the front tires with the loader to get it out of 4wd.

The range change is an unsynchronised shift on this size of tractor, if you moved up to the larger kubotas or others with swing shift or power range shifting this problem dissappears.

It usually happens when at a dead stop and you try to change ranges, if you are slightly rolling or the clutch is dragging slightly there is never a problem. I've had it happen on Case's, internationals, Kubotas, Kiotis, Ford, New Holland, John Deeres, hmm, even a small Valtra I was on.
