Spent a couple of hours on a dealers M59 today and enjoyed it. Was a bit confused with the inching control until I figured out that it needed to be in gear (L-M-H) in order to inch. Then I put it in neutral to use the hoe - don't know if that was necessary but it seemed right. It inches backward at a reasonable speed but verrrry slowly forwards. I guess that's normal.
Two real questions though...First one is that the L-N-M-N-H control is hard to move. Not slick at all. Does that sound right? I thought it would be both easier and more positive. Maybe there is an adjustment - either to me or the machine..
And that backhoe thumb control is downright weird. Good leg stretching exercise.
Looking around at the metal I really like the way the loader is braced, but the 3 point arm mounts seem a little small for cat II implements. Has anyone commented on that?
Finally, the group is right - I did quickly get used to the large bucket...but I'm still considering a 4 in 1 bucket. What do you think?
