Kubota Bx24, 2007
Hi.
Im looking to buy a used Kubota M6040HD w loader around 150hours on.
Do the M6040HD have any "factory fault" to look out for?
What tires do u recommend R4s or Ag tires, I mostly going to use it as a small farm run around tractor, fixing road, some work in the woods, maybe plowing, snow removing etc.

I have a M7040 which is very close to the 6040. I researched it quite a bit before I bought, and I'm not disappointed. It has been a work horse in every way.

Ag tires would be the best match with the BX!

Hi Charlie!
Thanks for your input!
Sounds good. Im been research as you did,and for the moment I havnt found
any "faults" on the m6040 or the m7040.
Gearbox vise (please help me) on the m6040 and the m7040 there is
mechanic shuttle and hydralic shuttle, explain the diffrence.
Thanks,

We have an M8540 with hydraulic shuttle; owned a synch shuttle before that. On the hydraulic shuttle, the forward/reverse lever automatically engages the clutch, so you don't have to use the foot clutch as you do on the synch shuttle.

As to the Ag/Industrial, there will always be a debate on that. We have Industrials on our L5030 and Ags on our M8540.

TripleR, thanks for info:thumbsup: Now spending time thinking..cab or no cab....here where I live everyone uses cab on tractors. Im not to forced to sit everyday on my Bota so I can choose a little when weather is ok to do work. And Im used to my BX. But offcourse when the snow is coming....a heated cab is the way to go....:confused2:

I have the 5040(open station) and the 7040(cab) no issues to date with either both have been great tractors.

If your gonna spend alot of time I would get the cab but if you can do most work in the morning or evening the open station is fine. I have spent many hours on the open cab this year and couldnt wait to get back on the cab but a canopy would really make a difference something I didnt get just cause I usually use it to mow under trees and etc.
