M7060 Lug Nut size

Need to purchase a set of sockets that fit my M7060 but need to know if the are SAE or metric sizes. Couldn't find anything in manual so thought i would ask the experts.

An edit: as I look at the page it strikes me the M16 for example is the thread size not the outer nut dimension for a socket

Wouldn't be a bad idea just to get a set of metric sockets probably up to 30 or 32 MM.

Everything on the tractor is metric, so a set might come in handy more times than you think it will.

I know this isn't much help to you but my mx5200 is 24mm. I went around my tractor with a paint marker and marked all major bolts/nuts with a paint marker for size. This is needed because my tractor is at a remote property and I have to specifically bring tools in that I need for jobs that I may do, and I can't be searching for the right size or bringing my whole tool box all the time.

Implements are standard though. Keep that in mind.

Hence the "keep that in mind" suggestion. I use metric on my implement nuts too, but it's smart to know how it's put together.

This means his m16 threaded stud would use a m24 socket, just like my mx.

Can't help on the M7060 specifically, but after having my Kubota a couple years since everything is metric I'd recommend two things that will make tractor maintenance easier:

Robot Check
(Sunex also has a similar set for SAE) - even if you don't currently have an impact wrench having the full assortment of metric sockets is handy....and since (sooner or later) an impact wrench will probably become a strong desire/necessity (especially if there's a need to change mower/rotary cutter blades) it wouldn't seem a bad idea to just start planning ahead.

Robot Check
I tend to I keep either a 6" or a 8" adjustable wrench with measurement markings (SAE & metric) in the tractor tool box so I when I run into a fastener I can use it to easily identify which sockets/wrenches I may need to go grab ...the larger sizes are also handy, but not as easily stowed on the tractor.

The other item I've found handy since there's at least one square headed fastener on my L3560 (need to be removed for greasing the front axle) is:

Between those three things plus a torque wrench (I use a Tekton 1/2" square drive that goes from 25ft-lbs to 250ft-lbs), a 1/2" square drive breaker bar, and a filter wrench I can cover all the tractor maintenance I've had to perform on my L3560 thus far....and I can't imagine the M7060 would be that much different.

...if you ever need to put on a set of wheel-weights (which can be painful to do by hand) then a 1/2" drive set of crow-foot wrenches, and an extension are handy

I bought a set of Harbor Freight metric impact sockets and one of those fits. Maybe $18. They work perfect because they fit correctly and are six point sockets not likely to slip or chew up any of the lug nuts. Easy solution.

HF Impact sockets are indestructable. Bought a set metric and SAE for about 1/2 the price of the Amazon set (Sunnex) and I cannot break them and I've tried real hard. Broke Snap-On, Matco and Kobalt impact sockets, never HF, Use them for removing dome head plow bolts from snowplow wear edges and I usually break off the bolt. Use an IR Thundergun 1/2" impact gun at 175 psi. it makes 1300 pounds feet of torque. Lifetime guarantee too. Given them the torture test and they passed, no issue.

The Kubota M7060 has two different sizes of wheel lug nuts - 24mm and 35mm. I bought a Tekton 24340 1/2-inch drive torque wrench for $57. Great wrench for the money.

Your Tekton wrench only goes to 250 lb ft.

See post #5's attachment with required torque values which are above 250. i.e. 260

I use a 3/4" drive torque wrench.

You are looking at the N-m specs in the attachment on post #4, not the ft-lb specs. The Tekton wrench I mentioned does only go up to 250 ft lbs, which covers everything for a new Kubota M7060. I have a 2019 M7060 and the owners manual (M6060 and M7060) shows the following torque values for wheels and discs:
Front wheel mounting nuts = 192 to 224 ft lbs
Front disc mounting nuts = 180 ft lbs
Rear wheel mounting nuts = 191.8 to 224.2 ft lbs
Rear wheel steel disc mounting nuts = 180 ft lbs
Rear wheel cast iron disc mounting nuts = 191.8 to 224.2 ft lbs

I have steel discs on my rear wheels, so I torque the front and rear wheel mounting nuts to 200 ft lbs, and the front and rear disc mounting nuts to 180 ft lbs.
