M8540/M9540 540/1000 rpm PTO Conversion install

The EPTO option on my M9960 was dealer installed bhen I purchased the tractor. EPTO is the same as 540/1000 aside from gear ratio.

When installed, I asked the dealer for the OEM 540 housing assembly but was told that they MUST return it to Kubota.

Were you required to return the OEM assembly to your dealer when installing yours?

I do not trust this dealer and thought at the time that they were keeping it for their own purposes.

Thank you Very much. I will try to track a kit down tomorrow. My m9540 is an American tractor, which makes finding some parts for it almost impossible.
I tried Messicks once for parts and was told that they aren't allowed to ship north of the border. Kubota regulations.

I didn't know that about shipping parts North. Guess Kubota is trying to protect Canadian Dealerships?

I think those would be very nice if the tractor was roaded much.

Great article!! I have the same tractor I'm looking to do this to. However, the geniuses at my local kubota dealer tell me there is no such thing.

Is there any chance of getting a part number on this kit? Or did i just not read close enough and miss it altogether?

P.S. Ported MS441???? Not enough power for ya or what???

I'll bet that package costs double today. Just a hunch.
