Mahinda Not responding to emails

I haven't tried emailing them, but when I stopped by their distributor in Tomball TX, they were friendly and helpful. The work atmosphere there was very busy, but they allowed me to walk through the place and answered questions that I asked.

Maine Polack, I am a Mahindra tractor dealer in western New York, and I understand your dismay with Mahindra not responding to your Emails. But I also understand that they get a deluge of emails, far more than they are able to respond to. If you would like to give me a call at 585-343-0770, I would be happy to answer any of your questions to the best of my ability. No you don't have to buy a tractor from me, I just would like to do my best to help you if I can. I hope if I don't answer your questions, some one else in the Mahindra network does.

Not sure where you are located in central Maine but a great guy to speak with regarding Mahindra is Wayne Kirkpatrick at Hammond Tractor in Union, toll free at 1-877-488-6466 or 788-4464. He has been most helpful with issues regarding Mahindra and they just stocked a large number of units. I am almost about ready to buy the 7010 and Wayne has been great. It's a 1 1/2 hour drive for me, but so are all the dealers.

glawall...a generous offer. Thanks

Also thanks to all that responded.

I think that there is the distinct possibility that my brain, which has been overused by all this "tractor stuff", may EXPLODE!

"Has Auburn Hammond dealership had Mahinda's for a year? I ask because the other two dealerships mentioned, (all same Owner, I believe), just started to get them in over the past couple of weeks."

Yes I believe I started seeing Mahindras on his lot about a year ago. I know last weekend I was by there and he had a line up of maybe 7 - 10 tractors, small ones and some larger models.

I can tell you from experience that Mahindra will stand behind there product. I can't explain why they aren't returning emails except to say that maybe they don't have a lot of people sitting on their thumbs like the bigger manufacturers. Maybe that's why they aren't as expensive because they are passing that savings from not having people like that to pay on to us. I am one that will disagree about buying from a local dealer. Buy were you can get the best price! Mahindra has people they will send to you to resolve warranty issues if your dealer or another dealer will not. I can't say about the smaller tractors but my 6000 is very easy to work on. Most anyone can do there own service. Plus this is the day and time of the internet and a world economy. You can have virtually any part you need sitting on your doorstep within a couple days just by calling or emailing and using a credit card. My advice would be buy were you get a good deal and then if you need to you can buy parts or implements local. That being said of course buying local and having good service from a dealer is a great thing, but how much do you pay for it? $500 of course. $1000 maybe. $2000 forget it! Plus if someone tries to bully me into buying something they will not succeed. I'd probably drive by that dealer just to show him the tractor I bought somewhere else!

Just an update. I tried emailing the president address at mahindra after this thread got started to ask how emails were handled. I got a message last night saying that the mailbox is full so my email was rejected. Doesn't look like anyone is reading it at all.....

I agree about the global economy and ease of buying parts. The only exception with tractors is that sometimes the parts can weigh several hundred lbs and require commerical tools to repair. For the regular maintenance or small parts there is nothing like doing it yourself. I think its better for your tractor if you know how it works and how to fix it anyway.

Have you had this experience? Is this a field Rep? Seems as though it would be required to use local dealer first. I'm just suppossinn'.....

Great minds think alike! As far as your $ figures above, and what it is worth to buy local I came up with the exact same numbers...

In 2002,when I bought my tractor, I had a warranty issue and the nearest dealer stated that he did NOT do warranty work. I e-mailed customer service and the President, did not receive a reply for 15 days. Finally, I received a reply on the Presidents mail from a customer service rep and situation was handled, although I feel only marginally.
What I'm saying is, you may shop price, but check out the dealers you will be relying on for issues also. I now use a dealer about 1/2 hour farther away than the one that would not perform service on a tractor with 25 hours on it, and am completely satisfied.
