Geez, my insurance is a rider with my homeowners and its 50 bucks a year, on or off my property, on or off a trailer. Full coverage and includes all implements.
The disk will be used mainly to disk greenfields sometimes places we put them can be rocky or have stumps and such. Everybody I know uses a disk for such places so you tear up your tiller. And the disk is faster in those applications because you don't need such a fine seed bed.
Called my dealer today and got a price for adding a couple more implements. All the implements for the Mahindra are with Mahindra implements which the dealer said was made by Kodiak, the Kubota is with Landpride. Not sure if one is better than the other. And as Dave had stated in a previous post this caused the better deal at the Mahindra dealer to be the 0% price on the tractor. So both of these prices are with 0% financing for 60 months. So the price I have now is with tax included only thing not included is Insurance. Kubota Dealer said it was approx $34 a month and I didn't ask the Mahindra dealer but I would think it would be about the same I really wish there was a couple thousand dollars difference in the price so the decision would be a lot easier. For some reason I always thought Mahindra's were cheaper. Maybe they use to be.
FEL on both
20' Trailer with brakes on rear axle.
5' MD Cutter
5' Tiller
5' Box Blade
5' Disk (tube not angle)
Mahindra = $31,262 - 0% 60 months 521.03
Kubota = $30,940 - 0% 60 months 515.66

Just a thought on the trailer- would suggest getting trailer brakes on both axles.
also from some posts on tbn it may be required by law in some states.
Just asked in another thread what the PTO rpms are on the L2501. The max hp rating on my L3200 is 2800 rpm. The max HP rating on the L2501 is 2200 rpms.It will be an HST. I had thought about a 2501. But I felt like it would be underpowered for running a 5' cutter or even pulling a set of disk. Maybe not since I never ran one. Maybe someone that has one can chime in.
Red pompoms! Very becoming!Looks like you have a tough call. The Kubota boys come out in force with their pom poms whenever they see the word kubota. The Kubota is a fine tractor. The Mahindra is a fine tractor. The Kubota may hold it's value longer but unless purchasing for resale that is only a small bonus point. I like my 2538 a lot. It does spec out better but that is on paper. //
Now your are revealing industry secrets.In the Mahindra world, the Mitsu S3L2 engine has been used in many models rated at 24, 25, 26 and 28 HP. The only difference that I see is the rated RPM. A little more speed, a little more HP. The new 1526 is nearly a twin to the old 3016, but rated at a lower HP to get under the 19kw Tier IV norms. It is smart to consider these models if they are adequate for the job.
