mahindra 4025 fuel system

Hi all. I need some advice. My 4025 fuel system is crap. I wish to get rid of the go kart filter in the tank and rig in a sediment bowl. Has anyone done this or something similar. I have had it with this fuel starvation and rotten performance. Or an inline filter, I have considered that. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks, Kirby

I replaced the OEM filter on my tractor with a higher capacity Racor water separating filter with 2 micron cartridge. Pretty simple install on the suction side of the fuel system.

I'm fairly sure that the problem is in the mickey mouse filter that mahindra put inside the tank so i would like to address that problem first. Although for all I know my final filter system is not sufficient as well. I just replaced the final filter. the one in the tank is a plastic screen. Thanks for posting. I will keep this in mind.

Can't help wondering why the in tank screen is such a problem in your case? I recall when those tractors were sold new. I remember a few instances of screens plugging up, but rarely more than once. What's going on in your tank?

A side note. Replacing the braided steel covered fuel lines and adding an electric fuel pump will go a long way toward correcting some fuel supply issues.
