Mahindra 5155 Anyone?
I currently have a Mahindra 1538 Shuttle. It’s been flawless since new and has done everything reasonable that I’ve asked of it. But at times a bigger footprint and more weight would be a benefit for me on my hilly property and for maintaining my 900 foot gravel driveway. My dealer is working to...

I have the 5145 i bought new, and would not do without it, best money i ever spent. but this was back in the days of tractor shortages and used was going for what a new unit (if you could get one, i had to wait for several months). the 5155 is a turbo and less preferred in my case but a solid tractor. the 5100 series is a back to basics tractor with all the good ergonomics but none of the stupid crap like electric pto or electronic throttle control.
the cons that i can think of are:
1. the fuel filter is in a dumb location and prone to damage.
2. the fuel cap gets torn off or catapulted into the brush pile on a regular basis but the tank down low is a god send for filling the tank.
3. the hood latch can become clogged with dirt and stop releasing the hood.
4. there are plastic covers over the drive shaft going forward that crack easily.
5. the rops is a pain to take down and put back up.
6. I broke the spider gears in the front diff at about 60hrs, i have not heard of anyone else with this issue so maybe a fluke?
