Mahindra 6000 di PTO problems

it appears that my PTO lever has disconnected from inside the PTO if anybody has any suggestions I would appreciate it. I pulled the cover on the side of the tractor and tried to remove the lever itself but it would not come out all the way but it's not engaging at all feels as if nothing is connected to it

Did you ever fix this? Same thing happened to me, you sheared the tapered pin that holds a block on the end of the pto. Fish around with a magnet and find it in the hydraulic tank. The lever should come all the way out, you will need to remove the fender and tire from that side of the tractor.
