Just a note on my '02 Mahindra 6000 4 WD.....no problems in the last 250hrs....yeah, I know, we seem to be listing Mahindras' that have "issues"...sorry, don't have any. How 'bout the rest of you Indian Mahindra owners that have no problems...time for little a different slant on these tractors. BobG in VA

517 hours on '06 6000 4wd. Only problems have been with coolant hoses going into oil filter. Replaced both of them for less than $10.

Additionally, the hours have not been easy. Bushogging on very steep ground, baling hay, cleaning up ice storm debris, etc.

'04 E350-DI no issues, and we have been very happy with the tractor during this last 5 years. :)

05, 7520, 400+ hours. Three problems with it.

First, a nut on the steering actuator came loose and was leaking.
Solution, tighten with wrench.

Second, PTO safety switch went out.
Solution, by pass switch, ordered replacement, never have replaced it though.

Third, power steering fitting down on steering hydraulic came loose.
Solution, tighten fitting with wrench.

And of course as most of you know, MY biggest problem with the 7520 was that it was red, but I took care of that problem. :D I feel like I have gotten past my problem with red, but I have to tell you, the Mahindra red paint on my 08, 3215HST is not the best paint around. :( I know that the 3215 is Japanese, but I have one of those too. :) I am sorry that I do not have enough hours on the 3215 to give a fair review. But what little that I have used it, it seems to be a real little work horse.:D

Oh yeah, the 40 hours that I have used the 3215HST, no problems. :D

The 6000 4x4 is still holding up fine. Over 900 hours on the pink tractor now.

Actually no issues with the 7010 lately. Rapidly aproaching 500 hours on it. Have a fix planned for the tie rod ends. Wheels seem to be holding up with the collars on them.

Sorry have to mention, new engine on the way for the 3316 HST. Please Please Please be fixed by 10-12. Chickens are leaving and I need you!

My opinion the Indian made Mahindras are the best!

'07 6520 4WD:cool: approaching 500 hours. Drive pulley on hyd. pump cracked out last January while digging my pond running max rpms all day for days running the backhoe. All other "events" were operator error.

1998 485DI with over 500 hours. I've replaced a hose and a fuel petcock. Probably $40.00 in parts. The 485DI is heavy and tough. Great Tractor!!

Don't have an Indian Mahindra, but my Korean made 3510 has almost 400 hours now and the only problem I have had is a rubber fuel line that split. 5 minute fix. I have been very happy with "the little tractor that could".

Spoke too soon! 7010 cab is down again. A plastic clip on the top of the loader control broke day before yesterday. Called the dealer and found out the whole control is all that's available, $350! $350 and all I need is a cable. That hurts! Who designs these things? Bet they have a fat wallet!

You know, that's really dumb that a plastic clip requires a whole new setup...can you somehow make it??/ in the same vein, the only thing that went wrong with my 6000 was an O-ring at the top of the power steering resevoir that started to leak...Mahindra sent a whole new resevoir...(as I stateed at the start its been over 250 hrs since this...I have 335 hrs on the tractor)...Good luck with the "clip". Just over 1000 hours on my 2004 6500. Nothing major to report. One item replaced under warranty. Lots of loader work but mostly used for haying.

How about some pictures of the unit and the broken clip, maybe someone can come up with thoughts on a replacement.

Was able to pick up a used cable for $100. Turns out TYM sells just the cables for a shade over $125. Now I'm looking for the balls that fit in the 3 pt arms and a rearveiw mirror from TYM. Looks like parts are going to be cheaper for those rebranded TYMs from TYM.

2007 3525 with FEL, 247 hours to date, no problems.

My 2004 3510 has had its share of "annoyances." Nothing really major except for the FEL valve, and that was mechanical, which I just fixed this week.

Still have to look at the tach. The rest have been a minor thing here and there. A switch or electrical connection, but mechanically very solid.

A search on this site has solve quite a bit of them. Like the time the PTO solenoid wouldn't engage. Read about the location and how it sticks sometimes. Tapped it with the handle of a hammer once and it worked. The next season I pulled the cap off the end of the plunger, pushed it with a screwdriver and then added a capfull of hydro to lube it. No problems since :D

These are tractors and are subjected to some harsh environmental and operating stresses. I do wish it was easier to find part and mfgr specifications, though. I spent a lot of time sourcing a repair part for the FEL valve and finally ended up tearing down, measuring, and ordering a similar part I could tweak to fit. Better than new now!

Hope you find your clip. How about a pic of the part?

Right at 300 hrs on mind, had it 3 years now and just put a ML-265 FEL on it about 5 weeks ago, only problem i had was stabbing a root up into the hydraulic filter, seen it after it happen, backed up and shut it down, went ahead and changed the oil and filter and cleaned the suction strainer and magnetic plug. Other than that its been a good working tractor.
Oh had it stuck 3 times so far, I think it had something to do with the loose nut behind the wheel.

That's exactly what the stuck problem is. All three of mine have been stuck at some point in time because of the same exact reason.
