Mahindra 6500 Intake Manifold Heater

Power never goes to the intake heater. The glow plug light on the dash doesnt come on either unless i jumper out the 2 big wires. I got 12v on one of the big lugs. The control wires power up with 12 volts when I turn the key on but it never energized the big lug that goes to the intake heater. Which tells me the contacts inside the relay are never closing. I can't find the timer relay though. I think it's all inside that black box. The 12volts on the control wires stays as long as the key is on so the timer must be inside it.

Yup definitely the box... and I checked the old tractor... only the bolt that holds on is left lol

Dang that's to bad. Dealer wants $320 for a new box. I'm thinking I'm just going to find a 50 amp momentary push button switch and use that until I can find a replacement for a fair price.

Until the heater broke it never smoked or clattered the least bit. Heck on my f250 it's never even knocked when the glow plug relay wasn't working and both only had a puff of smoke on startup and knocked a little until they warmed up which wasn't very long. I think your in a much cooler climate. I'm sure synthetic oil wouldn't hurt anything though.

Our Kubota UTV's at work rattle and clatter when cold started .
