Hahaha... I love to hear guys like you say things like that! That sounds like something out of the Chinese forum.... lol.

Well tractorjackleg, here at TBN we have public profiles, and I'm guessing that you have not read mine or many of my posts. If you had I would think that you might not have made that comment. You would have seen that I have Case Tractors, A Cat D6 along with others.

You see, it doesn't matter what brand I own, we do all the work on them ourselves. The dealers that I do trust to do any type of repair work are just to far away, and besides that, I have always repaired my own stuff. Wait, once I made the huge mistake of having a dealer replace an engine for me because we were to busy to get to it. Guess what, 10k later I still had an engine that was no good and we ended up replacing everything ourselves anyway.

I'm sure that your 231 is a nice tractor, and I hope that you have good luck with it, but what good does your type of comment do other than to try to make yourself feel better about something, I don't know what, but it must have been something.

For many many years we had two local tractor dealers.

One sold IH and slowly converted to Kubota quite a few years ago. They went out of business several weeks ago. They basically didn't provide service for any of their products.

The other has been a long-time McCormick dealer, who took on the Mahindra line about four years ago. The also sell quite a few brands of implements. I was up there the other day, and they may not be selling a tractor a day, but they sure looked busy. If anything, adding the smaller Mahindra utility tractors to their much larger McCormick farm tractors certainly seemed to strengthened them. But, they also provide excellent service and parts for all makes of tractors and implements, plus they provide on-site service.

As for stability -- I figure there will be parts available for my tractor long after I'm gone even if the company isn't here. I never had problems even finding parts for my old grey market tractors, like the Hinomotos, long after they went bankrupt.

By the way, I never got to use the warranty on my Mahindra. Nothing ever went wrong with it in the first thee years / 300 hours -- which is where I'm at now. I couldn't be happier.

We have a machine that has one of those old steel seats and no padding, I can sit on that tractor all day and my butt does not get sore, in fact that seat is quite comfortable.

Doesn't it make you feel good to know that somewhere in the world there used to exist a mold for a steel stamping press that was shaped exactly like your butt?

Do you know where they make the molds? I want to see if I can get one made of mine. Thanks butty.:D
