Mahindra Pricing??

Feature for feature, I think you can pretty much match them up equally if you're willing to spend the dollars.

As for standard features, I think the Mahindra comes with a cruise control and draft control standard, but the Kubota did not. Mahindra has a standard rear remote as part of it's price, not sure on the Kubota.

The seat in the Mahindra is the best I've ever sat in, I have been on the tractor for 3-4 hours at one time in rough terrain and wasn't beat up at all when finished. Just a GREAT seat.

The Mahindra hydraulics runs on a 11GPM pump and the Kubota implement pump is 8.9 - not sure that's an apple to apple comparison though.

I think the Mahindra was several hundred pounds heavier and cast iron through out in the frame.

It's tough to find comparison info in any one place, best thing to do is go to each tractor website and download the specs and make comparison that way.

I did find this website, it's not great but has info in one place.

I think one of the biggest differences is in the transmission options. Mahindra is offered with shuttle shift, power shuttle, or regular hydro. Kubota has all of these plus the glide shift and the Kubota hydro is "HST Plus", which has features like stall guard and auto throttle. You can check it out on Kubota's website. Of course options cost money and the Kubota will likely be several thousand more. Take ranwin33's advice and compare the specs. You should also drive both of them and spend some time looking them over. You will likely find some small differences. For instance, I think Kubota hides the loader hydraulic lines inside the loader arm to limit possibility of damage. Don't forget to compare loader specs also and make sure you pick a good dealer.

I was shopping the Kubota 3940 Grand L, Mahindra and a couple of other brands. Went with the Mahindra 4035 - it was several thousand cheaper than the 3940 for the setup I wanted, has the extendable rear linkage, and a couple of other features the Kubota did not.

As for parts, my dealer said he can get them overnighted if needed.

8 days into owning the tractor, blew a hydraulic line due to some bolts not getting tightened in assembly at Texas plant - the salesman pulled the line from another tractor he had on the lot, drove 175 miles to my place on a Saturday, and installed it, NO CHARGE. He was at my place at 8 a.m. and gone before 9:30 a.m. Now that's service!

I'm very big on customer service and in talking with local Kubota dealers I left with the feeling like they thought they were doing me a favor by selling me a tractor. Only got that impression from one Mahindra dealer I dealt with, unfortunately he's the local guy. John Deere dealers were VERY helpful, but couldn't match the Mahindra prices and tractors had a lot of plastic on them and couldn't compare with weight.

That is some over-the-top great dealer service. I think it would be OK to mention the dealer's name.

The dealer is Straub International - they have seven locations in midwest Kansas. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

Email privately and I would be happy to provide the salesman's name.

He was very, very good. I prefer to deal by email so I always have a paper trail - and he was one of the few who responded quickly to each email I sent. We went back and forth for several weeks and he never pushed for a phone call.

Plus I think I got a heck of a deal.

The Kubota Grand L's with hydro transmission definitely do come standard with cruise control. I use mine all the time

That is a good dealer. I saw them the last few years out at the Topeka Farm Show. They always have a nice set up.

They have a reputation as an excellent dealer, so I am glad to see this.

I am glad to hear that. I just wish they would open up a store number eight closer to where I live.

I could be wrong, but that story sounds like a Bill story to me. Great guy to deal with. I am not sure where you are, but you can stop in any time you like for a tour of the plant your loader came from.
