Grapple Mahindra root grapple

Thank you for your replies. The grapple and third function valve installed is 3300. MtnViewRanch the grapple looks very similar to yours. I have a neighbor that has a grapple he bought from a place in Beaumont,TX that's galvanized and it seems to be a really well built grapple. He loves his. Anyway this grapple I'm looking at looks exactly like his but it's black with mahindra stickers on it. I think it should be a fine grapple.
You thinking of Modern Mfg. They galvanize everything. 3300 is about 1300 more than I paid for my grapple and I installed my diverter valve myself.

Thanks Brandi I plan on calling the mahindra dealer tomorrow in reference to the third function switch they are installing. I don't know if it is the diverter or a true third function valve. Does the diverter you installed divert the hydraulic fluid away from one of your rear remotes while using the grapple? If it's a true third function valve I think there price is in line with most places.

It sure did work and that is a very, very nice looking tractor. Congrats!

I installed a diverter valve using my FEL's curl circuit to operate the grapple or auger when I push the button on the joystick. I bet you're getting a diverter valve installation.

Yes mamm I think the aluminum canopy will be a must. I was just going to install it myself once I get it home because of wind and low hanging tree branches on the road I have to go down to get there. I thought $300.00 was a bit pricey but oh well. One other thing I believe I'm going to need is a hydraulic top link on my three point. I rented a tractor awhile back that had that option and it made things real nice when grading with the box blade.

Top & tilt, the best way to go. At minimum a top link though.

Diverters work fine, (actually better IMO) actuation control is in a button on your loader joystick and as Brandi mentioned, you use the curl function to operate the grapple.

My diverter valve is the gold colored unit at the top of the loader tower. You can also see the control grip on the loader joystick. Your hand never needs to leave the grip to control all functions on the loader. ;)

I will definitely be in touch for one of those top links. Give me a couple of weeks to digest the new cost of the tractor and attachments I just purchased. You wouldn't happen to have the measurements for the top link on the tractor I have would you.

I purchased a Mahindra single cylinder grapple with my 5010 Mahindra tractor last year. It is very well made and works very well. I have gotten a lot of use since we purchased acreage that has a lot of fence row cleaning needed. Had several trees dropped and cut into 15 to 20 foot logs, the grapple and tractor had no problem picking them up, moving and stacking for cutting into logs later.
