Trying to get psyched up to go out and start blowing with my BX. It's concrete kind of snow, 10" here already in Central Maine but the sun is starting to peek though so it's time.

About a foot wet heavy crap here in south west Maine.... The 4210 just got a workout!

i am north of most of you yet no winter wonderland here, some flurries but it melted on contact
theres a few inches left in the woods and some banks buildups leftovers in town

My sympthy goes out to all you guys up there. Just when I was feeling bad because it was too wet to till garden second time, and too cool to go golfing this afternoon. Guess things can be worse than sitting here enjoying a cool Bud while reading your posts.
Just curious how many of you had your blowers off, put away getting ready for Spring? Hopefully this is the last of it for you.

In the bright side, it'll be gone in a few days.
As an added plus, others north or downeast likely got it worse.
And since you can't plow much of it anyway, it is sort of pretty.

Just checking in from upstate N.Y. We were suppose to receive 12" of the white stuff, nothing on the ground,all rain here.

I just finished blowing my drive a while ago... another exercise in minute control of the lift to avoid flinging rocks. Mostly successful.:ashamed:
Lottsa slow, tiring work; blower could handle the volume OK, but I had to go slowly and constantly adjust the height up & down, listening for the noise of gravel in the blower....
I'm hoping it'll melt off fast, and the weather reports seem to support this.:thumbsup:
And to think, the driveway was all clear down to the gravel-- I was just about to get a cycle out!
I am DEFINITELY going to copy amkfken's design for the dolly wheels under the blower, real soon! (see "2650 blower Mod for Gravel Drives")
At least I feel that my blower did a better job than a plow would have, as far as keeping the gravel on the drive... I'll bet some folks' driveways have probably been peeled right onto their lawns by plow trucks; ouch!
Meanwhile, it's snowing again- but it looks like we didn't get nearly as much as central Maine (maybe 8" here)- I feel for you guys, it was bad enough here!

14 inches here in FARMINGTON area and still snowing .Didnt want to blow snow in my mud hole,but drive will never dry up if i dont.Thinking on tarring the whole drive this year

We had 12" by midday in Lincolnville, and I was out there blowing once I got the generator running, since we also lost power. The snow had bent a large white birch down onto the driveway, but I was able to shake the snow off of it until it stood up again.
We never got rain today, which is why we got so much snow -- my parents, 20 minutes away in Union, only received 5" of snow, but it was mixed with drizzle. My PTO snowblower had no trouble today; the snow was heavy -- good snowball and snowman material -- but not wet. The ground, however, is not frozen anymore, so I ended up doing some unintended "leveling" with the snowblower. The power company restored our power after only 4 hours down, despite apparently widespread outages.

Is 9:30 pm here in East Texas and 73 degrees. I thought global warming was the reason I have to mow the grass for the second time this year on Monday?
