Major Recall On some of the 4X20 series!!

The dealer did the recall fix on my 4520 two weeks ago, and there is no discernible difference between before and after. I had plenty of power (and plenty of hills on the property) before they did the work, and it was pulling trailerloads of stones up the hill this afternoon.

Sounds like there's something else wrong with your tractor, or else the dealer's mechanic isn't paying attention.

Isn't that noise int he steering column a pain? Mine is worse in cold weather. Hot weather, it is not very noticable. There are some updates but mine has them all. Oh well - I can live with it.

I think all the gas guages are hosed. Mine was bad from day one.

Update! the 3rd fuel sending unit seams to have fixed the fuel gauge problem. There back inside the engine again for the down on power problem. I have a feeling they will get it right this time.

My fuel sending unit got replaced and it works perfect now. But on the other hand, I picked up the steering column whine/buzz/shriek for the first time after I got the tractor back. That really disappointed me, but I think it is getting better as I run it more (happens at 1500 rpm-my favorite speed, of course) but as was mentioned, colder weather may make it worse. I haven't had any power issues, but that would really irk me, too. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
