With the help of my 16y/o son I think I've figured out how to turn a URL in the body of a post into a link (highlighted in blue; click on it and it takes you directly to the site) by bracketing the URL between [url} and[/url]. I think this manuever deserves its own heading under FAQ instead of being buried as a cryptic one liner in "Can I use HTML markup in my post". This is a suggestion from a "computor challenged" 61 y/o.
