Re: Mak\'in Hay with John Day

As we don't have real tedder, we use belt rake for tedding.
It is only 2 meter wide, and it look funny behind 70hp tractor, but main reason for use it is fast rotating 540E PTO.

As neighbours baler has small pickup, windrows have to be narrow.

Another contractor on another (flat) place, 6 miles from my home.
As you can see, tractors have cabs, but no heating and no cooling.

My team is not that happy; instead of bale thrower they use forks /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

First trailor is loaded. 130 bales is on that manure spreader.
Now is a problem how to drive it about 1000' to the asphalt road, and not a roll over it /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

ZJ:

My wife and I really enjoyed your pictures, more than my own. I can appreciate the sweat labor too. We still use sickle bar mowers here, especially for orchard grass like you seem to have an abundance of.

My wife would kill for your tile roofed, brick barn, it's absolutely beautiful.

What type of stock do you raise?

Finally, how much is fuel in your country and thanks for the pictures and insight as well as the beautiful scenery. The internet allows one to see things that they may never see otherwise. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
