. Go back and edit that last one where ya got so happy and see if when you save it, it has the box around the quote. It's more readable that way. Add
right before the Wooooo-Hooooooooooooo ;)

When you hit the quote button it will add

Oh Curly, you took the wind right out of my sails. Let's see if this works. By the way, I am holding my hand vertically in front of my nose so you can't poke me in both eyes at once.[/QUOTE]

That sounds like a good 3 stooges kinda thing to do.

I think I may have screwed you up a bit because I put all of those words (I'm not gonna put them here or it'll screw you up again) in there exactly the way it will be looking for them. So try quoting this one and see how it works:D

Yeah, I definately screwed you up. I did a quote on that same post of mine that you did...and it was all messed up. So that was definately not a good one to practice on.

I just bought a couple of cylinders from suplus center. The ports only listed as SAE 6 and 8 on the other. Is this the same as JIC or are these SAE ORB?

Wayne you know your stuff. I know what I am doing ,usually, but it seems I always pick up something from your posts. Thanks

They are SAE O-ring I believe, Not JIC. You will need adapters.

I think SAE ORB is "O Ring Boss"

This might help:
North American Coupling Types

BTW - Great explanation from Wayne County Hose, I liked it.

JIC and straight thread o-ring are the same thread. Difference is an o-ring at the base. For the sake of simplicity, you will want straight thread o-ring to JIC adaptor. I don't know why they list these cylinders as having SAE fittings when they are straight thread o-ring. I guess different manufacturers sometimes use different terminology. SAE is 45 degree flare, similar to the 37 degree JIC flare.

In a pinch, you could put an o-ring on a JIC male and use it as a straight thread o-ring fitting. Make sure you use the correct o-ring on your fittings, not one from a generic kit. There is a difference. You can get the proper o-ring kits from Hercules Sealing Products for far less money than you think.

I hope this helps rather than confuses. Sometimes I throw info out there without thinking how it gets interpreted.
