thanks for the welcome murphy1244

hope someone out there can help?

the motor will crank if i hot wire it but the motor still wont start, the solenoid in the injector pump wont open to let fuel through.
the only thing that has been touched are the diff locks, the solenoid for the diff locks appears to be on the same circuit as the stop start solenoid (which i have replaced) in the injector pump,
no dealer within 200 mile and cant get any help

cheers Mal

Welcome!!

Try posting your question in the Brand Specific / McCormick forum. I am sure someone that hangs out there will chime in.

Good luck with your project!

I am not really knowledgeable about your particular tractor model.....but my first impression is that some safety switch is not closed.......seat.. clutch... etc That's why when you hot wire the starter it cranks but the fuel solenoid does not open. Check your safety interlocks one at a time (bypass them one at a time until the tractor starts in the normal way.

Welcome, You do have to be resourceful to repair it when the nearest dealer is over 200 miles? We have several within 20 miles of us..Do you have a diagram or manual of the circuits and wiring?
