Junkman,

You've got to be kidding /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif You super imposed that, right (Kidding).

My guess from that exit sign: THAT IDIOT WAS DOING THAT AT 65 MPH ON I-95 (or Merrit?) in the kind of traffic and idiot drivers down there????

Ofcourse, 65 mph is nearly crawling for the speed they usually drive down there at rush hour!

Maybe we should just be glad that guy hanging on the outside isn't the driver too? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

several replies wished the stupid guy was still alive ??? I am not so sure I would feel comfortble with people stupid enough to do that running around loose and raising children just like him.

Nah.

I know what it was: he was tracking down a wistling noise that happened when you drive fast!

I saw a pickup truck tooling down our 401 with six guys sitting in the box of the truck. The average speed on the 401 is either 20 or 140 kmph - or 12 or 85 MPH - and they blew by me at over 140.

I called the cops. I figured it was a mission of mercy to stop those fools before it became a tragedy.

My guess: some homey in the car is his wife's lover trying to get away and he won't give up. Which if that's the case, still makes him really, really stupid.

I knew that someone would think that it was superimposed, so that is why I posted different pictures. You can see from the background that the car is traveling. It was on I-95, which is the old Connecticut Turnpike. Anyone that knows that section of road, knows that you can't travel 10 feet with out hitting pot hole of some sort. I know the type of wind pressure that you feel on your hand at 65 MPH when you put it out the window..... can you imagine the pressure on his body at that speed? One slip of the hand and he would have been a goner.

Plus, you can tell that it's not by the way the truck is leaning.

For the most part and I am not an expert but a super imposed picture would be too large for the 100kb maximum. To me they are original but again I am no expert.

Junkman,

I was Kidding. I knew it wasn't super imposed. I agree with the "stolen car" theory. Hopefully it was not some detective who'd watched too many action movies!

What caught my eye was "Cos Cob" on the exit sign. I know that stretch, inimately. Drove a 22' straight job in and out of the City, years ago, when there were still a few sane drivers down there. Now, half the time you can't travel 10 ft. without having to stop for some traffic jam, or have some one cut you off at 80 mph.

I always breath a sigh of relief when I cross the line back into VT. Problem is, too many idiots like that one have now "found" VT.

I know what you mean about the drivers. I was behind 2 rear end crashes on the way down. I didn't get caught in either of them because I know to keep a distance between me and the car in front. The problem that I kept encountering, was the idiot that saw that open space and decided that it was meant for him to occupy. The first was a 5 car pileup at the 91/95 interchange when the lead car didn't know which way to go and just stopped in the lane while he decided. The car behind, didn't have a chance..... nor the next 3. The second was when a driver decided to take the exit from the left lane and crossed 3 lanes of traffic at a 45 degree angle. A car in the right hand lane stopped abruptly to avoid getting broadsided and got rear ended instead. The wife wanted to just close her eyes and get on the floor. She hates when we have to head South to visit the relatives because of the traffic. Usually I try to drive only late at night when most of the crazies are sleeping.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
