Hey, I like this new guy!
When my buddy and I tried sugaring in high school we tapped sugar maples on his grandma's forty with 1/2in copper pipe with two saw cuts on top created a strip of copper that can be bent up for a hook. stored sap in new plastic trash cans and boiled with borrowed large shallow SS homemade pan.
Grandma's place sold about the time I bought mine, but only had silver maples in lot, Yep they worked!
