I'm going to stick a web pic in here "just because". No idea where it's from but it kinda goes under the old saying "Things could always be worse."![]()

we are now under flood watches,
could be a couple inches of rain coming
between now and friday, with warm temps.
water levels were already high from last
weekends rain (before the 2' of snow)
so things may not be fun around here
for folks along rivers and such.
I heard that areas of Pennsylvania might get up to 7" of rain...if that happens it might end up being a disaster situation.
Looks like that one is from the storms the dumped 7 FEET of snow (over the course on one week) on the Buffalo NY area several years ago.
I was in Buffalo in 2010 and talking about that storm with one of our suppliers. He was telling me how some folks (including a couple of his relatives) had to climb out windows to get outside. That picture Mace linked to fit some of his (the supplier) descriptions.
Around this area, it's calling for 2.5"-more then 3" on Thursday. We're on a hill, so there shouldn't be any problems (knock on wood). Low lying areas (like the small town we used to live in) will have problems.
