waiting on wall block, so i decided to cut in the trim around the patio (all except around the deck)
rented a wet saw to do the job, came out pretty good, now need the wall block to finish it up!

there is going to be a flower bed with some shrubs over by the garage to break up the siding,
maybe a trelllis style plant...

Looks nice! I like those pavers for patios.

My only nitpick (there's always something ) is under the garage man door threshold, the pavers seem a bit high. If your threshold plate extends out beyond the wall above the pavers, you might want to allow some clearance for frost heave.

dave thanks for the thought...
that threshold is sort of trashed, the door is also. i'll see what happens this winter,
and if it's a problem, i'll pull those bricks next year and lower them a bit... i was more
concerned with pitch away from the garage along with tieing in with the other pavers
on the other side of the fence (not very nice ones)

Standard construction doors aren't very good, and anything else is ridiculously priced.

I think you can get vinyl door trim now. I've seen a lot of rotted door trim with that finger jointed junk wood they use.

update after a rainy saturday, i finally got the block and we started laying them on sunday
i took yesterday off to finish some lower courses, and run some feed wire for landscape
lights we want to put on the wall. once it stops raining and dries up a bit i need to get the
sand vibrated in so we can use the patio for a party Sunday!

had good weather friday nite and saturday all day, and worked out tails off to get
the patio at least usable for a party yesterday on father's day, then it rained and
we had to eat indoors.
but, the polymeric sand is in the pavers, most of the wall is up (not fully finished yet)
and i started overhauling the deck railings, still need to build a new set of stairs
coming down from the deck to the patio (one of the old sets of stairs in place temporarily)
