It must be spring. Sat outside with the goats for a bit in the pasture yesturday and got surrounded by lots of mosquitoes.

Interesting thing, we still have a foot of snow on the ground, but a couple of days ago it was +6C and I was sitting on the deck in the sun, and there were all kinds of flies on the side of the house - waking up.

It's close enough to Spring that I need to get started working on the yard. But this is really flat land; not well drained soil and it's saturated. We got another .72" of rain yesterday. So yesterday, I sharpened the mower blade a bit, cleaned and checked the blade brake and clutch, and plugged in the battery charger. If it doesn't rain again, I figure another 3 or 4 sunny days with temperatures in the upper 50s might dry the ground out enough to mow, dethatch, trim, etc.

George, I know spring is on the way because I also have flowers. I looked over my deck this morning and saw the first dandelion in full bloom.
